Are you insane???? DDT has been proven over and over again to cause eggshell thinning in birds. Mama bird sits on the nest, thereby crushing the would-be progeny. DDT is the cause of a number of extinctions and many more species becoming endangered. Rachel Carson had the nerve and smarts to come out with this in a time of rampant consumerism when people were thinking of nothing but themselves.

The blight on this earth is PEOPLE. The loss of a few people means nothing, in the scheme of things. The loss of an entire SPECIES means everything, evolutionarily.
