It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

When even the commie-symp wimps at NY Mag think the left-fascists have gone too far, you know we're in real trouble.

From New York Magazine:

California's Radical College-Sex-Law Experiment

The Democratic Party has built what looks like a stable and demographically expanding national electoral majority. [Hee-hee. What a difference a couple of weeks make. Check out a brand new headline from this craptastic publication:
The Democrats Have Two Choices Now: Gridlock or Annihilation - F.G.]
But coalitions can come unglued, and eventually, all of them do, when their policies fail or their elected officials push them too far from the center of public opinion. If you want to see glimmerings of this future unraveling of the Democratic coalition, look where the future is so often found: in California. There Governor Jerry Brown has recently signed an “affirmative consent law,” which requires all sexual activity among college students to obtain “affirmative, conscious, and voluntary agreement” and requires such consent be “ongoing throughout a sexual activity.” It is a massive broadening of the legal definition of rape, and a new blow in the culture wars that will likely reverberate in ways liberals have barely begun to contemplate.

Critics like Michelle Goldberg, Batya Ungar-Sargon, and Cathy Young have questioned the practicality of this new standard. “Do moans count as consent?” writes Goldberg, “How about a nod, or a smile, or meaningful eye contact? If a woman performs oral sex on a man without asking him first, and if he simply lies back and lets her, has she, by the law’s definition, assaulted him?

Tara Culp-Ressler, arguing along similar lines, proposes that the law is “about broadly reorienting about how we approach sex in the first place … The current societal script on sex assumes that passivity and silence — essentially, the 'lack of a no' — means it’s okay to proceed.”

It surely is possible to imagine that sex that comports with these new guidelines is sexy, or even more sexy than the kind most people have now. Yet one might find these ideas about reimagining sex attractive, as I do, while still having deep reservations about codifying them into law. The fact that we need to change cultural attitudes about sex itself underscores the fact that cultural attitudes about sex lie well outside the contours established by the state of California. What percentage of the last decade worth of Hollywood sex scenes, if acted out between college students in California, would technically constitute rape? A majority? Ninety percent?

Deprogramming and reorienting societal ideas about sex is an evolutionary process. California isn't merely attempting to set out to nudge the culture in this direction. It is reclassifying all sex that falls outside those still-novel ideas as rape. A law premised on this sort of sweeping, wholesale change is likely to fail.

Indeed, the law’s advocates don’t uniformly believe its written standards will actually be followed at all. This defense by Amanda Marcotte is telling: “The law has no bearing on the vast majority of sexual encounters. It only applies when a student files a sexual assault complaint.” So the law will not come into play because nobody will actually try to enforce it. Instead, it will technically deem a large proportion of sexual encounters to be rape, but prosecutors will only enforce it if there is an accusation. And since most, and possibly nearly all, sexual encounters will legally be rape, then accusation will almost automatically result in conviction.

Indeed, this may be the point. Culp-Ressler dismisses concerns about convictions of innocent people. (“In reality, false rape allegations are very rare, comprising about two to eight percent of all reports.”) Two to 8 percent seems like a fairly high number of innocent people to convict as rapists, and of course that proportion could well rise quite a bit under a legal regime that expands the definition of rape in ways that are both extremely broad and extremely confusing.

Obviously, failing to convict a guilty rapist is bad, too. There is no downside-free resolution that would avoid unfairness one way or another.

But people have certain intuitive beliefs about justice. If most college students today do not think that sex without continuous, affirmative consent is actually rape, and there is a law in place rendering it as such, soon enough, somebody is going to be prosecuted under these terms. And that person will become a victim of a standard of justice that offends the moral sensibilities of a large number of Americans, which is directly attributable to the actions of California’s elected Democratic officials. What will the law’s defenders do then?

Meet the father of the Iranian atomic bomb, Badcock Hussein Ebola!

We need more real men like Charles Krauthammer.

From Washington's other newspaper:

Charles Krauthammer: 'Sucker's deal'

A president desperate to change the subject and a secretary of state desperate to make a name for himself are reportedly on the verge of an “interim” nuclear agreement with Iran. France called it a “sucker’s deal.” France was being charitable.

The only reason Iran has come to the table after a decade of contemptuous stonewalling is that economic sanctions have cut so deeply — its currency has collapsed, inflation is rampant — that the regime fears a threat to its very survival.

Nothing else could move it to negotiate. Regime survival is the only thing the mullahs value above nuclear weapons. And yet precisely at the point of maximum leverage, President Obama is offering relief in a deal that is absurdly asymmetric: The West would weaken sanctions in exchange for cosmetic changes that do absolutely nothing to weaken Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

Don’t worry, we are assured. This is only an interim six-month agreement to “build confidence” until we reach a final one. But this makes no sense. If at this point of maximum economic pressure we can’t get Iran to accept a final deal that shuts down its nuclear program, how in God’s name do we expect to get such a deal when we have radically reduced that pressure?

A bizarre negotiating tactic. And the content of the deal is even worse. It’s a rescue package for the mullahs.

It widens permissible trade in oil, gold and auto parts. It releases frozen Iranian assets, increasing Iran’s foreign-exchange reserves by 25 percent while doubling its fully accessible foreign-exchange reserves. Such a massive infusion of cash would be a godsend for its staggering economy, lowering inflation, reducing shortages and halting the country’s growing demoralization. The prospective deal is already changing economic expectations. Foreign oil and other interests are reportedly preparing to reopen negotiations for a resumption of trade in anticipation of the full lifting of sanctions.

And for what? You’d offer such relief in return for Iran giving up its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Isn’t that what the entire exercise is about?

And yet this deal does nothing of the sort. Nothing. It leaves Iran’s nuclear infrastructure intact. Iran keeps every one of its 19,000 centrifuges — yes, 19,000 — including 3,000 second-generation machines that produce enriched uranium at five times the rate of the older ones.

Not a single centrifuge is dismantled. Not a single facility that manufactures centrifuges is touched. In Syria, the first thing the weapons inspectors did was to destroy the machines that make the chemical weapons. Then they went after the stockpiles. It has to be that way. Otherwise, the whole operation is an exercise in futility. Take away just the chemical agents, and the weapons-making facilities can replace them at will.

Yet that’s exactly what we’re doing with Iran. It would deactivate its 20 percent enriched uranium, which besides being chemically reversible, is quickly replaceable because Iran retains its 3.5 percent enriched uranium, which can be enriched to 20 percent in less than a month.

Result: Sanctions relief that leaves Iran’s nuclear infrastructure untouched, including — and this is where the French gagged — the plutonium facility at Arak, a defiant alternate path to a nuclear weapon.

The point is blindingly simple. Unless you dismantle the centrifuges and prevent the manufacture of new ones, Iran will be perpetually just a few months away from going nuclear. This agreement, which is now reportedly being drafted to allow Iran to interpret it as granting the “right” to enrich uranium, constitutes the West legitimizing Iran’s status as a threshold nuclear state.

Don’t worry, we are assured. The sanctions relief is reversible. Nonsense. It was extraordinarily difficult to cobble together the current sanctions. It took endless years of overcoming Russian, Chinese and Indian recalcitrance, together with foot-dragging from Europeans making a pretty penny from Iran.

Once the relaxation begins, how do you reverse it? How do you reapply sanctions? There is absolutely no appetite for this among our allies. And adding back old sanctions will be denounced as a provocation that would drive Iran to a nuclear breakout — exactly as Obama is today denouncing congressional moves to increase sanctions as a deal-breaking provocation that might lead Iran to break off talks.

The mullahs are eager for this interim agreement with its immediate yield of political and economic relief. Once they get it, we will have removed their one incentive to conclude the only agreement that is worth anything to us — a verifiable giving up of their nuclear program.

Brilliant.

Miss Camren Bicondova helps Fyodor illustrate why, despite historically high levels of fascism here, it is still better than there.

Exhibit A:

My cousin Camren [I am 1/2 fake Russian, after all] dances to Pharrell Williams' "Happy"...

Exhibit B:

Some Iranian kiddies do the same thing...

The difference? Miss Bicondova, an accomplished dancer and actress [You can see her on Fox's Gotham ] is celebrated for her talent and grace because she lives in a civilized nation while her Iranian counterparts were arrested, tried, convicted, and sentenced to be whipped 91 times in the streets of Tehran as if they were animals.

It matters not that the munificent mullahs "suspended" this barbaric sentence because of international outrage. The lesson to be learned is this: If you are going to try to live as a free man or woman in a medieval fascist theocracy, record yourself and hope you get enough Youtube views to keep your hide intact.

[My humblest appy polly loggies to Miss Bicondava for using her performance in my idiot blog, but your humble narrator is really feeling his oats today, kiddies.]

Those who convinced Brittany Maynard her life was useless committed the greater sin.

The Death-Worshippers claim yet another victim.

From Roto-Reuters via Yahoo News:

Vatican official condemns Maynard assisted suicide case

A Vatican bioethics official on Tuesday condemned the death by assisted suicide of American Brittany Maynard, a terminally ill 29-year-old who ended her life over the weekend, as an undignified "absurdity".

"This woman (took her own life) thinking she would die with dignity, but this is the error," Monsignor Ignacio Carrasco de Paula, head of the Pontifical Academy for Life, told the Italian news agency Ansa.

"Suicide is not a good thing. It is a bad thing because it is saying no to life and to everything it means with respect to our mission in the world and towards those around us," the head of the Vatican think tank on life issues said in a report on the Ansa website.

He described assisted suicide as "an absurdity".

 Amen to that, Father.

Maynard, who was diagnosed in January with a brain tumor and had announced plans to take medication to die when her pain became unbearable, had become the face of the right-to-die movement ahead of her death this weekend.

The group Compassion & Choices, an Oregon-based nonprofit that assisted the young woman through her end of life, said on Sunday that she had passed away surrounded by friends and family.

Sick fucking ghouls! The worst ones are the "doctors" who prescribed the murder weapon. There is a particularly nasty place in Hell reserved for their ilk. Hippocrates must really be pissed - "Do no harm" my eye.

The Roman Catholic Church opposes euthanasia and assisted suicide, teaching that life starts at the moment of conception and should end at the moment of natural death.

Fyodor REALLY loves Leah Still.

What can bring a fearsome NFL defender to his knees?

From Fox 19 Cincinnati:

Devon Still's daughter to be in attendance for Bengals game

Devon Still's daughter will be in attendance for Thursday night game against the Cleveland Browns. Leah Still, 4, is currently being treated for cancer. Devon Still announced in June on instagram that his 4-year-old daughter Leah has stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer .According to Devon, this will be Leah's first game of the season...

Fyodor REALLY loves Lauren Hill.

Beauty, grace, courage, talent...what more could anyone want? Maybe a few more years...

From WABC-TV:

Lauren Hill, college player with brain tumor, fulfills basketball dream

Lauren Hill felt so good after fulfilling her dream that she felt inspired to play another game.

Makes sense, since the freshman forward for Division III Mount St. Joseph's stirred a capacity crowd just by taking the court.

Much depends on Hill's health and energy as she deals with an inoperable brain tumor that has left her with just months to live. In between making two layups that started and finished Sunday's 66-55 victory over Hiram College and brought a crowd of 10,250 to its feet, she spent much of her inspiring game sitting on the bench wearing sunglasses and headphones.

Hill's condition has made her extremely sensitive to sensations her teammates and opposing players take for granted, but she still enjoyed the bright gym and the cheering crowd. And she certainly savored her two baskets on a day she will never forget.

"This game was amazing," Hill said. "It was awesome in every way. It's a dream come true. To play on a college court, to put my foot down on the floor and hear the roar of the crowd - I just love it so much. I love basketball.

"Everything that happened today was amazing. I'm truly happy, it's a really good day."

Hill made an uncontested left-handed layup for the opening basket off a bounce pass from redshirt sophomore Taylor Brown, who missed last season with a knee injury. The tumor affects Hill's coordination, forcing the right-hander to shoot with her left hand.

She also made the last shot of the game, returning with 26.5 seconds remaining for a right-handed layup.

"That's the one I've been having trouble with," Hill said.

Both shots were greeted with standing ovations from the sellout crowd at Xavier University's 10,000-seat arena, part of an emotional afternoon for Hill that included love and support from stars in several sports. Tennessee women's coach Pat Summitt was in attendance, along with an impressive list of WNBA players that included Elena Delle Donne, Delisha Milton-Jones, Tamika Catchings and Skylar Diggins.

"She lets you know what's important," Milton-Jones said of Hill.

Moved by the response - especially after receiving two awards, including the U.S. Basketball Writers Association's Pat Summitt Most Courageous Award normally awarded at the Final Four - Hill said of her disease: "We're gonna fight this."

Hill's determination to play while raising awareness about pediatric cancer has created a fan base that goes far beyond the school located on the outskirts of Cincinnati.

Please pray for Lauren and all the kiddies with cancer.

The 19-year-old native of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, has received support from across the country. Teams and players have signed and sent No. 22 jerseys to Hill, including 15 from high schools that lined the Lions' bench.

There were plenty of posters and supportive signs, and several fans held up large yellow cutouts that said "Lauren 22."

Hill started an online layup challenge that involves spinning around five times and shooting a layup with the non-dominant hand. Similar to this summer's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that became a social media phenomenon, the fundraising campaign (#Layup4Lauren) has captured the attention of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton and other athletes.

The Bengals showed a video of her layup during a timeout in Sunday's 33-23 home win against Jacksonville. Defensive tackle Devon Still -whose daughter, Leah, 4, is also being treated for cancer - wore Hill's name on his eye black; left tackle Andrew Whitworth had the No. 22 on his gloves.

Videos were shown with teams meeting the challenge - with missed layups - and challenging others.

Fundraising by The Cure Starts Now Foundation totaled more than $40,000. The NCAA allowed the game to be moved up two weeks because of the urgency of Hill's condition.

Lauren Hildebrand and daughter Allie, a Lawrenceburg High School sophomore, were among 3,000 fans from Hill's hometown in attendance, including the school's pep band. Allie Hildebrand was Hill's "little sister" during the player's senior year and said handling her friend's illness was difficult.

"You can't cry in front of her," Hildebrand said. "You don't want to get upset in front of her. That makes her upset."

Tears were conspicuously absent in the arena on an upbeat day that celebrated Hill's perseverance. Mount St. Joseph's coach Dan Benjamin said things got emotional afterward, but Hill wasn't having it in a game she has waited for.

"She looked tired on the bus," Benjamin said, "but once she saw that floor, there was a ton of energy."

That was obvious when a smiling Hill entered the floor for warmups. Her mood lifted the spirits of several children enduring various forms of cancer. That included Cynthia Towne, 11, who undergoes periodic chemotherapy for an inoperable though less-aggressive form of cancer first diagnosed at 4.

The little girl from Cincinnati grinned widely as she gave Hill a specially made headband sporting the word "Believe" with a yellow ribbon in the middle. Encouraged by recent diagnoses for her daughter, Katie Towne said Sunday was nonetheless bittersweet.

"I'm happy for the joy of her getting her wish coming true, not only for raising awareness but also for being able to play in this game," Towne said of Hill. "But there's also sadness knowing that how much awareness she brings right now, she won't get to reap the benefits personally."

"That's what's amazing; she did this, knowing that," Towne said.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania [like Scotland] chose slavery.

The totalitarian imperative is alive and well in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, however. We have elected everyone's favorite fascist chimera - the multimillionaire "friend of the little guy" who shall henceforth be known as Tom "Man Is Wolf to Man".

Our only hope is that the Repansycans in the the Legislature [who bear no small amount of blame for Corbett's failure] smack down this left-fascist toady early and often...but I'm not going to hold my breath.

From the Patriot-News:

Wolf faces tremendous hurdles in his first term
Tom Wolf trounced Gov. Tom Corbett in the polls...

America says "Take that, you jug-eared bitch!"

We have just witnessed the single greatest repudiation of an individual politician in American history. It is time to start dismantling the left-fascist terror state before it murders one more innocent or enslaves one more fool.

May God have mercy on the black (Racist.), bloody soul of Benito Insane Okhrana.

From Fox News:

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
