It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

How to tell if your language and literature professor is a Nazi.

Ahhh...Education! Can't you just smell it?

Christian News Wire: University Professor Leads Students to Destroy Anti Abortion Display

Northern Kentucky University Professor Sally Jacobsen allegedly assisted pro abortion students in tearing down an anti abortion display Thursday.
After becoming aware of the incident involving the professor, Mark Harrington, the executive director for the Midwest Region of the Center for Bio Ethical Reform (CBR), interviewed Katie Walker, the organizer of the display, on Activist Radio.

“Katie and the students of Northern Right to Life (pro life student group at Northern Kentucky University) showed great courage. They are rightfully pursuing charges against the professor,” said Mark Harrington, CBR’s Midwest Director and Host of Activist Radio. “We have all heard of anti war professors occasionally abusing their classrooms to speak out against the war in Iraq. Jacobsen, by inciting students to violence, has gone far beyond the conditions of her position as a professor.”

The Cincinnati Enquirer quoted Sally Jacobsen, a longtime professor in NKU's literature and language department, as saying "I did, outside of class during the break, invite students to express their freedom-of-speech rights to destroy the display if they wished to. Any violence perpetrated against that silly display was minor compared to how I felt when I saw it. Some of my students felt the same way, just outraged."

The display is comprised of 400 white wooden crosses called the Cemetery of the Innocents. CBR is now making plans to bring the Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) to Northern Kentucky University next semester.

Additionally, of particular note were the comments of NKU President James Votruba who said, "Freedom-of-speech rights end where you infringe on someone else's freedom of speech."

"I don't buy the claim that this is an act of freedom of speech, to destroy property," Votruba said.

He said he was gathering information about the extent of Jacobsen's participation. Dozens of NKU students saw Jacobsen participating in tearing down the display.

"I don't know if she was pulling up the crosses, but I think she was out there with the students. If so, as far as I'm concerned, she went outside the conditions of her employment," Votruba said.

And then what happened?

Brown Daily Herald: Professor put on leave after abortion controversy

A professor at Northern Kentucky University was put on leave after admitting she encouraged students to destroy an anti-abortion display on campus.

Sally Jacobsen, a professor of literature and language, will not return to the school and will retire at the end of the semester, the Associated Press reported.

According to the AP, Jacobsen acknowledged that, on April 12, she led graduate students to rip up 400 crosses that were supposed to represent a cemetery for aborted fetuses. A group called Northern Right to Life had set up the display a week earlier.

Katie Walker, a representative of the group, told the AP she hopes those who destroyed the crosses will be prosecuted.

Go get 'em, Katie! (I love all girls, but I love Katies the best.)

"I just hope they're held accountable for their actions," Walker said.

Most of the antique media went with this headline:

Professor Put On Leave After Abortion Spat

That leads me to believe AP labeled this instance of totalitarian violence a "spat".

Here's some good news from WSB in Atlanta:

"By leading her students in the destruction of an approved student organization display, Professor Sally Jacobsen's actions were inconsistent with Northern Kentucky University's commitment to free and open debate and the opportunity for all sides to be heard without threat of censorship or reprisal," said NKU President James C. Votruba.

Jacobsen, who's been teaching for 27 years, will retire at the end of the semester.

One small step for education, one giant leap for reality.

University police are investigating the vandalism report.

"Further action may occur once a full investigation has been completed," said Votruba.

I'd say a year in the county lockup should help our gal Sal remember she's not a member of the Taliban.

Oops! On the advice of
counsel, I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to the Taliban. Even they find abortion sickening.

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
