It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

Westboro Baptist morons. Again!

Which side will our genius judiciary favor? The father of a dead Marine hero or some freakish Baptist cult from Kansas who derive their theology from watching Jerry Springer?

The Christian Post: First Amendment Attorney to Defend Infamous 'Church' in Defamation Suit

WESTMINISTER, Md. (AP) - A Kansas ''church'' whose members picket military funerals has hired an attorney who specializes in First Amendment cases to defend it against a defamation lawsuit by the father of a Marine killed in Iraq.

Wow. Even Your Humble Servant didn't put "scare quotes" around the word "church" when I dealt with these pinheads earlier.

Albert Snyder sued the Rev. Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church after church members staged a protest at the funeral of his son, Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, in March. The church also posted pictures of the Maryland protest on its Web site.

Members of the Topeka church contend the deaths of U.S. soldiers are God's punishment for America's tolerance of homosexuality.

The elder Snyder, of York, Pa., filed a federal lawsuit in June claiming the protesters violated the family's right to privacy and defamed the Marine and his family at the funeral and on the church's Web site. Phelps has denied any wrongdoing.

Westboro Baptist has now hired attorney Jonathan Katz of Silver Spring, Md., to represent it, The Baltimore Examiner reported Tuesday.

"Defamation lawsuits are totally incompatible with the First Amendment," Katz told the paper. "I represent people from the far left and far right and everyone in between."

First Amendment my eye, Katz. Does your mother know what you do for a living?

The case had been stalled for several weeks while Snyder's attorneys sought without success to serve notice of the lawsuit on the church and its members.

Sean Summers, one of the lawyers representing Snyder, said he is glad the church has hired an attorney so the case can move forward.

These folks prove our point of why we need a magisterium and how sola scriptura doesnt work. They believe God shows them from the Bible it's ok to hate homosexuals, blacks, jews, other christians etc. Lord have mercy

Yep. I could not have said it better myself - and my idiot blog is ample proof.

The whole idea of individuals defining the Christ's teaching would be laughable if souls were not being lost. In this day and age, when people are even less prepared to resist the temptations of the foolish one, it is criminal.

Thanks for visiting and keep The Faith, baby.

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
