It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

Right Wing Smile of the Day.

Judy Miller gets mail...courtesy of Accuracy in Media .

The media watchdog group Accuracy in Media (AIM) announced today that it will be mailing postcards to New York Times reporter Judith Miller, now serving time in the Alexandria, Virginia, detention center because she refused to testify in the CIA leak case.

"She receives more mail than any other inmate at the Alexandria jail," reports today's Washington Post. AIM editor Cliff Kincaid added, "She may not enjoy our postcards but we think she ought to read them. They simply tell her how she can get out of jail. In effect, they are get-out-of-jail-free cards."

The AIM postcards will be supplied to subscribers to the twice-monthly AIM Report newsletter so they can sign and then send them off to Ms. Miller. The postcards to Ms. Miller read:

We are sorry that you are in jail rather than reporting for the New York Times. However, this is your fault. You have a waiver from your "source," as the judge and prosecutor have pointed out, and you could freely and honestly testify about your knowledge in the CIA leak case. You have an obligation to do so. Reporters are not above the law.

You have only yourself -- and your own paper - to blame. It was the Times that called for this investigation. The Times urged prosecutor Fitzgerald to pursue the case no matter where it led. The Times said that he should exercise complete independence and utilize the powers of his office. It's you and the Times who are blocking his attempt to get to the bottom of this.

Accuracy In Media (AIM) is a non-profit, grassroots citizens watchdog of the news media that critiques botched and bungled news stories and sets the record straight on important issues that have received slanted coverage.

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
