Whatever happened to Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd?

The former Red Sox pitcher is one of the founders of the Urban Baseball League, which bills itself as the Rebirth of the Negro Leagues.

No, that is not sick racist humor from sick and unfunny racists. Here is the new league's Mission Statement:

The Urban Baseball League, LLC was officially founded in 2007. The purpose and
intent of the UBL is to inspire our youth, and promote business in the Black
community.

It sounds like a good idea. They just need some marketing help. Can you imagine McDonald's or Sears sponsoring the new Negro League?
