Some justice for two of Our Boys.

USA TODAY/AP: Al-Qaeda in Iraq Cell Leader Caught in Raid, Military Says

Baghdad — The U.S. military said Thursday that a joint raid by Iraqi and U.S. forces resulted in the capture of the al-Qaeda in Iraq cell leader who was behind the abduction, torture and killing of two U.S. soldiers in June.

Due to USA Today and/or AP stupidly inserting a completely different news story here, we now move to further action.

The U.S. military said it captured the al-Qaeda in Iraq figure in a raid south of Baghdad.

Al-Qaeda in Iraq had claimed it killed the two U.S. soldiers found dead in June: Pfc. Kristian Menchaca of Houston and Pfc. Thomas Tucker of Madras, Ore.

The two were abducted when insurgents overran their checkpoint in the town of Youssifiyah. Spec. David Babineau of Springfield, Mass., was killed in that attack.

The Mujahadeen Shura Council, a collection of insurgent groups that includes al-Qaeda in Iraq, later released video purporting to show the decapitation of one of the soldiers. Their bodies were recovered after a search by 8,000 U.S. and Iraqi soldiers.
