It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

Responding to my post from the Canadian Front of the Great Cartoon War of '06

Good post. I couldn't agree with you more, especially your quote:

"Do I detect a whiff of leftist hypocrisy here? Or is it cowardice? It does not really matter. The cartoon they published is enough to get the Student Union torched."

Dead on.

Ian is obviously a man of taste and class. He likes The Pogues and Intellectuals by Paul Johnson (How about Walt Whitman's butterfly ring? He would so fit in on Oprah's show.) and who can argue with those choices? So what is he doing wasting his time in my idiot corner of Bloggerdom? Beats me, but I do appreciate it.

I suspect he is somewhere south of orthodoxy, (Instant Review: John Calvin is icky.) but that is ok for the purposes of this blog. I heartily embrace the concept of politically friendly forces.

Thanks for the kind words, Ian, and keep The Faith, baby.

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
