It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

Regarding my post of 5/25/05, U.S. Base Closures Cause Jitters Abroad,

I think it is time to leave. I spent two winters in Korea over 50 years ago. We made a difference, just look at life on the other side of the 38th parallel.

First, let me thank you sir for your service to our country.

I am ambivalent on the question of closing our bases in South Korea, Japan, and (to a lesser extent) western Europe. I would hope the free Koreans and the Japanese could defend themselves, but I am not confident they will.

If the North uses nuclear weapons on anyone, we can retaliate from here or from submarines. Our troops in the ROK are little more than targets.

The problem is commie China. Like it or not, they must be contained. (Sorry, I mean defeated.) Bases on the Korean peninsula and the Japanese islands will come in handy when we have to defend the free people of Taiwan. (BTW, we damn well better defend them! Are you listening, you Repansycans?)

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
