Have you ever read James 5:19-20?  I mean really read it, and contemplated it?  Here's what that passage says: " My brethren, if any one among you wanders from the truth and some one brings him back,  let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins."

       Did you catch that?  Most people who read this passage do not stop to think about what it is really saying.  If you do something to bring a sinner back from the error of his way, you will save YOUR soul from death and will cover a multitude of YOUR sins.  What an awesome promise God has given us in Scripture!   Zeal for the souls of others will cover a multitude of our sins and save our soul from death! 

       St. Theresa of Avila, reacting to that passage, said: "Whenever I read in the lives of saints of how they converted souls, I seem to feel much more devout, tender, and envious of them than when I read of all the martyrdoms that they suffered.  This is an inclination given me by our Lord; and I think He prizes one soul which, by His mercy, and through our diligence and prayer, we may have gained for Him, more than all the other services we can render Him."

       That is what we strive to do here every single day at the Bible Christian Society.  We bring folks back from the error of their ways.  And we can only do that because of you.  You, through your support of this organization, are literally helping to bring sinners back from the error of their ways.

       Conversions, baptisms, bringing lapsed Catholics back to Mass, and much more - all of these are, by the grace of God, what you help to accomplish when you support the work of the Bible Christian Society.  You and I both know that we don't do any of the converting, or saving - that's for the Holy Spirit - but our job is to throw out the seeds.  The seeds that hopefully take root, grow, and bear much fruit, again, with the help of the Holy Spirit.  And through the Bible Christian Society, you and I have been able to throw out thousands upon thousands of seeds, if not even tens and hundreds of thousands all over the United States and all over the world.

“I know from reading your newsletters you get a lot of detractors or criticism about the catholic faith. What I don’t know is how many people actually are objective and learn from your talks and then follow up with you.  Well, I am one of those people. I listened to all your talks about 7 years ago...and things changed. I was still Protestant but in my heart had serious doubts about why I believed the way I believed. And Roman Catholicism went from a total apostate faith to valid Christian faith, imo. Now, after 7 more years of wrestling with this, I finally enrolled in RCIA and currently like half way through the course to become Catholic...As I attend adoration usually weakly trembling and in complete awe of the incredible experience that it is, I'm left to ponder why it didn't happen sooner in my life. Well, it's because there are not enough "biblechristiansociety" type ministries out there and that is a shame.”

       I am exceedingly blessed to have such nice comments pointed in my direction (although I catch a lot of grief from folks as well), but I fully recognize that I am just the guy out front.  Those comments are sent to every single person who supports this organization.  It is only by the grace of God, and by your support, that the Bible Christian Society has the opportunity to do what we do.  So, if reading comments like the ones above gives you chills, like it does me, and you want to see more of those in the future, would you please: a) Keep us in your prayers; and b) Pray about making a financial investment in this work, as you are able?

       Generally, I ask if folks can give $0.10 cents a day, or just $3.00/month - $36/year - to help us keep doing what we do.  Maybe $18 now and another $18 in 6 months.  If you are able to give more, it would be greatly appreciated.  But if everyone reading this right now could just give something, it would indeed be a great blessing, and it would allow us to stock up on seed for the months ahead...

        I can't thank you enough for all of your past support - prayer support and financial support - but I'm going to be a little greedy here and tell you that I want more.  I want more conversions, more baptisms, more Catholics coming back to the faith, more non-Catholics coming into the faith, and more Catholics growing deeper in their faith.  And that's not possible without your support. 

       So, please, if you have never made an investment in the work of the Bible Christian Society...please think about, and pray about, doing so now.  And if you have indeed supported us in the past, I hope you will consider continuing that support.  The reason the Bible Christian Society exists is to throw out those seeds by sharing the truths of the Catholic Faith with folks all over the world.
