Penguins Update.

The Penguins are 10-7-2, good for 22 points and third place in the Atlantic Division. They are one point behind the second place Rangers and three points behind the first place Devils.

Harrah's presented a series of slides showing its casinos outperforming ones operated by the other applicants in markets across the United States.

Isle of Capri countered in an afternoon session, seeking to debunk the comparisons and saying it had more accurate projections for a Pittsburgh casino.

"Our facility will generate and sustain the highest level of revenues," said Allan Solomon, Isle of Capri's executive vice president.

New Penguins owner Jim Balsillie testified on behalf of Isle of Capri, which has agreed to pay $290 million for a new hockey arena. He told reporters afterward the only reason the team would leave Pittsburgh is if it is "fundamentally kicked out" of the city.
