It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

Charges of racism get you headlines, but..

AP: MIT professor begins hunger strike
A black MIT professor began a hunger strike Monday to protest the university's decision to deny him tenure, which he claims was based on race.

James Sherley, a stem cell scientist, said he tried for two years to persuade administrators at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to reverse the department head's rejection of his tenure bid.

"I'm not actually doing this to get tenured," Sherley said. "I'm doing this for the reason that I wasn't tenured — which is racism — and I want this institution to admit that that is the problem and make plans to do something about it."

After a last meal — two bowls of Chex cereal — Sherley stood outside provost L. Rafael Reif's office in protest, accompanied by about 25 friends and supporters.

University administrators denied Sherley's allegations and said less than half of junior faculty members are promoted to tenured positions.

Chancellor Phillip Clay would not comment on the specific reasons Sherley was not tenured, but said the decision involved comments from experts outside MIT.

The 5-foot-8, 254-pound professor said he planned to ingest only water, vitamins and electrolyte supplements until the university acknowledges its racism.

...my guess is he was denied tenure because he dares to oppose Big Babykilling's murderous agenda...

Sherley, 49, works with adult stem cells and opposes research using human embryonic stem cells because he believes it amounts to taking human life. In September, he won a prestigious $2.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health.

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
