It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

Father Bernard Quinn, Requiescat in pace.

Please pray for the soul of Father Quinn, and for the complete recovery of Archbishop Keeler of Baltimore and Monsignor Smith of Lancaster.

Harrisburg Patriot-News: Local clery involved in auto accident in Italy

The Rev. Bernard Quinn, a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg, was killed Saturday in an automobile accident near Terni, Italy. Details of the accident were not available.

Cardinal William H. Keeler, 75, archbishop of Baltimore, and Monsignor Thomas H. Smith, 75, pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Lancaster, were injured.

The three clerics were traveling together on a holiday. Keeler suffered a broken ankle in the accident while Smith suffered cracked ribs. Both have been treated for the injuries and are planning for their return to the United States.

Quinn, 78, was in residence at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Lancaster, where he assisted with parish duties. Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades of the Harrisburg Diocese described Quinn as "a faithul and holy priest of our diocese."

Funeral arrangements have not been announced.

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
