Ford's idea for your tax dollars

The lightweight Congressman comes out for public financing of elections on the front page of today's Chattanooga Times Free-Press:

"I wish that we could do this fund-raising through public financing."
I wish a lot of things. But very few of them should be done with other people's tax dollars.

If wishes were horses, Mr. Congressweenie, we'd tie your extremities to five of them and then see how fast they could run.
