It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

The Stars and Stripes Forever.

Aren't you proud of our moral and intellectual superiors in the Senate and the House of Representatives who saved us from that fascist flag amendment?

NY Daily News: B'klyn's banner spirit strong despite vandals

Stung by a string of flag-burnings, Brooklyn's Marine Park is fighting back by flying Old Glory bigger and prouder than ever this Independence Day.

"You have to stand up for America," said Regina Coyle, 55, whose firefighter son, James Coyle, was killed on 9/11. "For every one that goes down, there should be five that go up to replace it."

The trouble started last month when heartless vandals torched at least eight flags flying from houses in the neighborhood, including Coyle's.
Yesterday, Coyle and her neighbors were leaving no questions about where they stand when it comes to the Stars and Stripes.

American flags flew from almost every house - some had two and three. Fire hydrants were painted red, white and blue, and miniature flags fluttered from cars and bicycles.

"There's a lot of old-timers here," said Elizabeth McManus, 46. "It's a lot of old-fashioned people who believe in what the flag stands for."

"This neighborhood always has flags," said Joe Trimboli, 54, a fifth-grade teacher. "And it doesn't have to be a holiday, either."

Cops are still hunting for the banner-burning thugs, and Coyle has been inundated with offers of support - and new flags - from politicians and strangers.

"If someone has the nerve to burn it and destroy it," she said, "I'm putting it right back up again."

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
