It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

SEX IS DEATH. (The battle continues apace)

I came to Carthage, where I found myself in the midst of a hissing cauldron of lusts. I had not yet fallen in love, but I was in love with the idea of it, and this feeling that something was missing made me despise myself for not being more anxious to satisfy the need. I began to look around for some object for my love, since I badly wanted to love something. —St. Augustine, Confessions

Is Big Babykilling really preparing to leave the field of battle to Big Contraception (A Division of Big Masturbation)?

FAMILY-PLANNING ADVOCATES MUST PUSH USE OF CONTRACEPTIVES

Someone from Atlanta using the name Cynthia Tucker reveals what may be the fascist left's retrenchment in the war over disordered sexual desire.

Remember, kiddies, to these people abortion is contraception.

(Also, please note the way Tucker manipulates language in pursuit of the Death Agenda.)

If President Bush gets his way, the Supreme Court will vacate
Roe v. Wade even before Bush vacates the White House.

"Gets his way" like a petulant child. Or maybe a child who's a little slow. Either way, somebody should have killed that child.

With the expected confirmation of Judge Samuel Alito -- and depending on the vote of the moderately conservative (Oy vey! - F.G.) Justice Anthony Kennedy -- the right to a legal abortion could be struck down, leaving states to decide whether to keep abortion legal. Two years ago, the Center for Reproductive Rights estimated that 30 states would declare abortions illegal within a year of a high court decision overturning Roe.

States' rights,* baby! (Stay tuned, kiddies. It will explain itself in a few paragraphs.)

That makes it all the more important that progressives unite in a campaign to persuade sexually active Americans to use contraceptives. Indeed, the timing is perfect for a challenge to anti-abortion groups: If you want to decrease the number of abortions in this country, join us in a high-profile campaign to increase contraceptive use.

"progressives"- "sexually active Americans"- (Why no hyphen? You could create a whole new entitlement class. "I'm a Sexually-Active American and I'm not getting my federally mandated number of orgasms! I'm being discriminated against!") "anti-abortion" - Watch the words, kiddies.

If advocates of family planning don't act quickly to capture public attention, conservative extremists will rev up their own campaign to eliminate access to contraceptives. They won't be content to toss out abortion rights. They will merely interpret that success as license to roll back the clock 50 years to a time when women had little control over conception.

Instant translation: The destruction of the family engendered by government sanctioned licentiousness must continue at any cost.

(Don't misunderstand the rationale behind the anti-abortion politics of the hard-core extremists. Unlike moderately conservative Catholics (Instant translation: Catholics like Kennedy and Kerry and Cuomo who are "personally opposed" to abortion and yet encourage everyone to kill 'em if they got 'em every chance they get. - F.G.) and others who believe abortion takes a life, the politics of mossbacks such as "family values" scold James Dobson are more pernicious: Believing a woman's place is in the home, they have declared war on women's rights. A woman who cannot control her own reproduction is hardly in a position to run for the U.S. Senate, start her own company or join the military.)

Puh-leeeeeeze! What you really advocate is enabling girls behave as irresponsibly as boys. Cindy knows the truth about contraception, kiddies: The fear of pregnancy has prevented more people from screwing up their lives than contraception could ever hope to. If latex could hope.

And Dr. Masturbation ? Don't make me laugh, girlie. You're dealing with the real conservatism of a faithful, doctrinaire Catholic here.

Ultraconservatives have already succeeded in blocking over-the-counter sales of the emergency contraceptive known as the "morning-after" pill. (Now, Cindy, you know it's really the earliest form of abortion now possible. Big Babykilling's next innovation? Arming sperm with knives. - F.G.) While the Food and Drug Administration's professional staff and an advisory panel of outside experts declared the contraceptive safe for use without a prescription, the agency has refused to approve it. Late last year, the Government Accountability Office issued a report confirming that anti-abortion politics were behind the agency's stonewalling.

Instant translation: Damn baby savers!

Those same right-wing activists have started a quiet campaign to persuade state legislatures to allow pharmacists to decide whether they will fill a woman's prescription for birth control pills. Women have reported that druggists have gone so far as to question them about their marital status before filling a prescription. Last year, Georgian Michelle Havich reported that a Walgreen's pharmacist in suburban Atlanta refused to refill her prescription for contraceptives, telling Havich she didn't believe in birth control. An organization called Pharmacists for Life International urges druggists to refuse to dispense contraceptives.

Imagine that, kiddies! A "quiet campaign" (Run by the NSA, no doubt.) to allow people to listen to their consciences instead of Leviathan or screeching harpies of death like this Tucker woman. What'll the good guys over at Truth, Justice, and the American Way think of next?

There's got to be a particularly nasty place in Hell reserved for people who bully others into mortal sin.

At the federal level, the fight to preserve Roe is probably already lost. (Amen to that! - F.G.) Alito is in. Chief Justice John Roberts showed his allegiance to the dubious "culture of life" crowd recently when he joined Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas in a dissent to a majority opinion upholding Oregon's assisted-suicide law. (Conservatives used to believe in states' rights*, but lately they've adhered to that only when it's convenient.) Additionally, Bush has three more years in which to stack the court with foes of abortion.

I'd rather be an advocate of a "dubious 'culture of life' than a cheerleader for the very real, everyday slaughter of innocents who have no way to protect themselves from ghouls like you, Tucker.

Besides, reproductive rights groups have already ceded too much of the moral high ground with their seeming (WTF??? "Seeming"? She must be joking. - F.G.) enthusiasm for abortion. Too many of their public relations efforts have portrayed the decision to terminate a pregnancy as if it were as inconsequential as getting a prescription for a toenail fungus. A few years ago, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America sold T-shirts on which the wearer advertised the fact that she had had an abortion. The slogans were much too glib.

Oh, ok. So being just a little glib about killing kids is okay...

Instead, groups from NARAL to Planned Parenthood ought to be stating the obvious: Abortions should be -- as Bill Clinton once said -- safe, legal and rare. (Except in cases where the career of the man is in danger. Like when he loses focus and forgets to soil the dress of a fat chick with low self-esteem. - F.G.) While the abortion rate has gradually declined over the last decade, (Thank God for that. However, I fear that is just the aging of the Baby Killer Generation at work. The killers aren't as fertile and virile as they used to be. Speaking of aging, have you ever wondered how many murdered babies were conceived with the help of Viagra and related drugs? I have. - F.G.) the Alan Guttmacher Institute estimates that more than a million are still performed annually -- far more than in most other Western industrialized countries, where contraceptives are used more widely. The Guttmacher Institute also estimates that nearly half of all pregnancies among American women are unintended.

Cindy, you just don't have a clue in that rebellion-addled brain of yours, do you?

And just how many of those women are in lifelong marriages to just one man?

Family-planning advocates would find overwhelming public approval for a high-profile campaign advocating broader use of contraceptives: Ninety-four percent of Americans believe that contraceptive use is morally acceptable. It's a crusade whose time has come.

Instant translation: The baby-savers won't be able to convert people with ultrasound pictures of dead sperm or fertilized eggs that can't attach themselves to the uterine wall, so let's concentrate our money on promoting this other violation of the Natural Law.

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
