A televised image of a little boy losing his dog during Katrina rescue operations was the catalyst for House passage Monday of legislation requiring pets to be considered in future emergency-preparedness plans.

I do not care how much you love your pet, I would not risk my life and the lives of other PEOPLE to save IT.
