It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

BYU whacks hoops star for fornication.

Obviously, I'm no fan of mormonism, but Catholic schools could learn a few things from BYU's code of honor. McMahon flouted these rules for the entire time he was at BYU, but he won football games. When his eligibility ran out they told him to leave.

Why BYU's Brandon Davies Suspension May Help College Sport

In suspending a key basketball player for having premarital sex, Brigham Young University might have shattered a dream season. Here's why fans of the game should cheer

Here is the above mentioned honor code. Once upon a time, kiddies, such words were not considered hate speech.

Honor Code Statement

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men. . . . If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things (Thirteenth Article of Faith).

As a matter of personal commitment, faculty, administration, staff, and students of Brigham Young University, Brigham Young University—Hawaii, Brigham Young University—Idaho, and LDS Business College seek to demonstrate in daily living on and off campus those moral virtues encompassed in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and will

    Be honest
Live a chaste and virtuous life
Obey the law and all campus policies
    Use clean language
    Respect others
Abstain from alcoholic beverages, tobacco, tea, coffee, and substance abuse
    Participate regularly in church services
Observe the Dress and Grooming Standards
Encourage others in their commitment to comply with the Honor Code

Specific policies embodied in the Honor Code include (1) the Academic Honesty Policy, (2) the Dress and Grooming Standards, (3) the Residential Living Standards, and (4) the Continuing Student Ecclesiastical Endorsement. (Refer to institutional policies for more detailed information.)

Of course, the Lizard Whisperers don't always enforce their rules uniformly. Just ask Jim McMahon.

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
