It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

Choke on it, Hugo.

WCAX: Citgo signs coming down in response to Venezuelan leader's remarks

(Johnson City, NY) - Seven weeks after Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez lashed out at President Bush during a United Nations speech, the Citgo signs at some convenience stores in upstate New York and Pennsylvania are disappearing.

Citgo is Venezuela's state-owned oil company.

Chavez's remarks inspired calls for a boycott of the company in the United States. Citgo signs are coming down at several Kwik Fill and Red Apple stores operated by United Refining Company in the Binghamton area.

A United Refining spokesman told Binghamton radio station WNBF the move is — quote — "because of Chavez and what he said at the UN."

United Refining is based in Warren, Pennsylvania.

A qualified "congrats" to United Refining. It's the money that counts, not just the signs...

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
