From The Hank Aaron Is Still My Home Run Champ Department:

I know you are too young to remember it, kiddies, but once upon a time baseball mattered. Big time.

There are no more heroes like Hank (left) and Stan The Man (right). All we have are clownish churls like Mr. Bonds. (Heck, there was time when I would not have felt it necessary to identify the two all-time greats above.)

Bonds to quit after '06
Slugger to USA TODAY: Game is no fun.

He's already backtracking from this interview that isn't even cold yet. Yet more evidence that Major League Baseball is dead and gone. I'll bet you $20 this jerk among jerks keeps playing exactly long enough to hit one more homer than Hammerin' Hank, the second most underrated ballplayer ever. (Stan Musial is the most underrated.)
