I am finally happy (more or less) with the look of this blog.

I have been haphazardly playing around with the template and I think I will keep it this way for the foreseeable future.

The description will change infrequently. Usually, it will be this one:

I am a Roman Catholic.

Ecumenism:
a) praying for the salvation of all souls
b) working with politically friendly forces to elect the lesser of two evils and prevent the sterilization of those subject to our largesse.

The phrase "politically friendly forces" means we might be able to work together to make things slightly less awful. It does not necessarily mean we'll have a couple of beers and shoot some pool.

I have made more room for the actual posts and moved the sidebar stuff to the bottom. In case you have not noticed, the words from outside are in black while my comments, et cetera, appear in red.

Next comes my photo and profile. These will not change much. I am remarkably consistent.

I added the site search engine because I wish all blogs had them. (Especially
Peeve Farm. I need to find out if that is a blog I do when I black out.)

My list of links will grow longer. I try to limit it to my absolute favorites, but there are a lot of great places to visit out there.

Previous posts? To you, they seem to have a shelf life of about two days. To me, each is a precious part of me that shall live forever. Do not worry, gentle reader, if you don't get something right away. Chances are excellent that nearby there will be a link to a previous post to explain all. I am as self-referential as possible.

Archives? (Since April 22, 2005.) That reads old and musty. I like it.

Next is the
CNSNews.com News Ticker. CNSNews is a great way to cut through the nonsense if you are in a hurry.

Finally, the counter. Tell your friends and enemies. This sucker better start spinning or I will be forced to admit all you want to see is
porn.
