Where did all the noisy and angry patriots go?

If you are an insomniac, American polling places on an "off year" (I do so hate that.) election day is a sure cure.

Today is Primary Election Day in the Commonpoverty of Penn's Woods. I voted around mid-morning and I was the thirty-eighth voter of the day.

Neither the Orange nor the Distaff Clumpsomanics showed up. Nobody did.

Our Republic is dying, kiddies, killed by ignorance, indifference, and stupidity. "Partisanship" is not the culprit because it has always existed everywhere. (As usual, I urge you to read a few books on the subject, preferably ones written before the beginning of The Century of Horror.)

And you wonder why we can't have nice things anymore...
