The former track star Marion Jones, one of the most accomplished female athletes in the world, was expected to plead guilty on Friday to lying to U.S. agents about her use of performance-enhancing drugs, according to two lawyers connected with the case.

Denver Nuggets star Allen Iverson has been sued for missing a speech in Omaha, Nebraska. Event promoter Dave Chambers and his entertainment group contend Iverson failed to appear for the speaking engagement in August which shortchanged about two-thousand fans.
