Fyodor's Real Poetry Corner.

Greetings, younger
and unknown generation! I won't
see your powerful later growth,
when you will outgrow my acquaintances
and hide their old heads
from the eye of a passer-by. But may my great-grandson
hear your charming whisper, when,
returning from a party with friends,
full of happy and pleasing thoughts,
he passes by you in the darkness of the night,
and remembers me.

from Pushkin's Mikhailovskoye Revisited
