Al Gorehound and his wind-breaking buddies treat birds like they do fetuses. (And that's pretty damn bad.)

The York Dispatch: Bird experts studying effect of wind farms on golden eagles
Pittsburgh - Bird experts in western Pennsylvania are tracking the migratory habits of golden eagles to see what, if any, effects wind farms have on the birds.

The study is being conducted by National Aviary in Pittsburgh and the Powdermill Avian Research Center in Westmoreland County because some researchers say the birds don't know how to react to windmills, tending to fly into the blades and be killed.

Pennsylvania leads the eastern United States in wind energy production. Its wind farms produce 153 megawatts annually, enough to power 100,000 homes, according to the state Department of Environmental Protection.
