Memo To Dame Elton John:

In regard to your recent outburst of Hate-Speech (CBC: Ban organized religion, says Elton John) let us put the religion part of the question aside. For the sake of argument, I will allow you to slander Christianity with the label "bigotry". (I am fairly certain you are not advocating the banning of non-Christian religions, like mohammedism, for instance. Even a monumental fool like you knows that can get you killed. Better to pick on the ol' turn-the-other-cheek crowd, eh?)

Organized religion fuels anti-gay discrimination and should be eliminated, pop star Elton John said in an interview published Saturday.

"I think religion has always tried to turn hatred toward gay people," the musician, who is openly gay, said in the Observer newspaper's Music Monthly magazine. "Religion promotes the hatred and spite against gays."

Did it ever occur to you that there might be people who despise your sexual practices for non-religious reasons?

You know, the disease, depression, drug abuse, suicide, promiscuity, narcissism, and general ickiness that are endemic to those poor unfortunates who share your perversion? (The ones who aren't rich and famous, that is. I am sure you can buy your way out of any mess in which you might find yourself. And speaking of fame and fortune, old girl, do you seriously believe anyone would want your saggy old worn out pile of flesh if you were, say, a claims adjustor?)
