Republican leaders in the US House of Representatives came under fire at the weekend for trying to conceal an e-mail scandal involving former congressman Mark Foley.

Top congressional Democrats said on Sunday the U.S. Justice Department should investigate former Rep. Mark Foley's contacts with teenage male pages and said Republican leaders should testify under oath on what they knew about the matter.
