WRIC-TV: 200 protest admitting men to Randolph-Macon Woman's College
LYNCHBURG, Va. Students, alumnae and faculty members are asking the Randolph-Macon Woman's College's board of trustees to delay its planned vote Saturday on admitting men to the 115-year-old institution.
A series of speakers addressed a crowd of about 200 that gathered in front of Smith Hall today to protest the board's expected decision to make the school coed.

Alumnae from around the country plan to gather on the Lynchburg campus Friday and Saturday to show their support for the enriched lives they've led because they attended the women's college.
The alumnae plan an exhibition of art, music and dance on the grounds while the board is meeting and will parade around campus carrying parasols.
