Fyodor figures out something that has been bothering him for years.

Besides the sheer fascist sophistry of it, King Goober II's infamous "It depends on what your definition of is is" statement has been rattling around in my poor old brain ever since and I didn't know why until last night.

From the Holy Gospel acccording to John:

18:37. Pilate therefore said to him: Art thou a king then? Jesus answered: Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Dixit itaque ei Pilatus ergo rex es tu respondit Iesus tu dicis quia rex sum ego ego in hoc natus sum et ad hoc veni in mundum ut testimonium perhibeam veritati omnis qui est ex veritate audit meam vocem

18:38. Pilate saith to him: What is truth?
Dicit ei Pilatus quid est veritas

Quid est veritas, indeed.

You never would have guessed Citizen Pilate came up with that on his own without the benefit of an Oxford education. Just like Goober II.
