The battle to protect the noble American Indians from the effete PC drones of the NCAA continues apace.

Everyone should be proud to have an Indian mascot. Indian mascots represent the courage, ferocity, camaraderie, teamwork, and the perseverance against great odds we all wish we had.

North Dakota suing NCAA over mascot ruling
Sports Illustrated - State officials voted Thursday to sue the NCAA for penalizing the University of North Dakota over its "Fighting Sioux" nickname and Indian-head logo.

UND president spars with wit
Orlando Sentinel - The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education on Thursday voted 8-0 to allow the University of North Dakota to sue the NCAA in the university's bid to keep the Fighting Sioux nickname.
