Gettysburg's council votes to desecrate some of the most hallowed ground our forgetful nation has.

Oh yeah. They also spit on the graves of our fallen heroes. But a million bucks will buy a lot of stuff.

AP: Gettysburg Council Votes for Gambling
Gettysburg's borough council voted Monday to support a proposed slot-machine gambling parlor near the historic Civil War battlefield in exchange for a $1 million-per-year revenue guarantee. The prospect of a casino just outside town and near Gettysburg National Military Park has drawn a firestorm of opposition from preservationists and some area residents.

"Gambling is harmless."

"The slot machines will only be placed at horse tracks."

"They'll generate lots of revenue."

How stupid are the people of the Commonwealth and their elected leaders? Pretty damn stupid.

This is only the very beginning, kiddies. Even if the state gambling commission does not approve the Gettysburg site, there will be worse. You can bet on it.
