So goes the hate-inflamed reasoning of the totalitarians as they try to stop that fascist (Mussolini was a dago too, you know.) Alito from putting an end to the babykilling business. (Thanks to The American Spectator for the heads up.)

Eating Dirt

Kudos to the fellows at Red State and Townhall, who nailed DNC dirty tricksters for their sliming of SCOTUS nominee Samuel Alito.
Red State got hold of a Word document from the DNC oppo researchers, which included embedded data that showed who worked on it. Based on their research, a couple of low level flunkies pulled the dirt together, while one Devorah Adler did the polish. And who might she be?
Clinton White House documents reveal that she was one of Bruce Reed's deputies on domestic policy back when the Democrats ran the White House. She served as Associate Director for Health Policy.
Now, Adler is plying her Clinton training for Howard Dean. As reported by AmSpecBlog on Monday, Democratic Senate Leader Harry Reid seemed to sense a tidal shift in public opinion and MSM coverage of the Alito nomination. Before noon, he spoke to DNC chairman Dean and asked that the rhetoric on Alito be cooled. Dean, according to DNC sources, declined the invitation to be civil toward an esteemed judge.
Now, comes the DNC dirt document, which attempts to slime Alito with charges that he was soft on organized crime and mean to immigrants. See a pattern here?
Here's the relevant part of the DNC document. It can be found in its entirety at Tim Chapman's Capitol Report on Townhall.com.
Alito Embarrassed Government by Failing to Obtain Crucial Mafia Conviction
U.S. Attorney Alito Failed to Obtain Conviction of 20 Mobsters, Saying “You Can’t Win Them All.”
Federal law enforcement agencies sustained a major rebuff in their anti-mafia campaign with the August 1988 acquittal of all 20 defendants accused of making up the entire membership of the Lucchese family in the New Jersey suburbs of New York. The verdict ended what was believed to be the nation’s longest federal criminal trial and according to the Chicago Tribune, dealt the government a “stunning defeat.” Samuel Alito, the US Attorney on the case, said, “Obviously we are disappointed but you realize you can’t win them all.” Alito also said he had no regrets about the prosecution but in the future would try to keep cases “as short and simple as possible.” Alito continued, “I certainly don’t feel embarrassed and I don’t think we should feel embarrassed.” [Guardian, 8/29/88; Chicago Tribune, 8/27/88; UPI, 8/26/88]
You see, kiddies, Italian-Americans aren't nice people who like pizza and drink a glass of wine with dinner. No, they are all gangsters, murderers, pimps, drug dealers, and union bosses.
