Syrian official commits suicide

Syrian Interior Minister Brig. Gen. Ghazi Kenaan was found dead in his office yesterday, having apparently committed suicide three weeks after being questioned by U.N. officials probing the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
