Just in case you missed the significance of that last post because of my sublime subtlety, let me try again.

Today is the Feast of the Most Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary. First celebrated in Spain, this feast was extended throughout the whole church by proclamation of Pope Innocent XI after a Polish army dedicated to Mary defeated the mohammedans at the gates of Vienna in 1683. Pray for us, Blessed Mother.

(Hint: Today is September 12.)
