More on the Chinese Crested breed of dog may be found here. To be fair to the breed, Sam appears to be a particularly ugly specimen. Most Chinese Cresteds are merely goofy looking.
On the bright side, Sam is up for a part in the Broadway musical version of Pet Sematary.
